I traveled to the Mississippi River the 2nd week of January 09 to photograph the eagles that had gathered at the locks and dams. I was joined by fellow photographer Doug Cave on this trip, and he got an equal number of excellent photos. These photos are presented in chronological order (except for the very 1st photo), so I will add location information when time permits. We visited lock and dams at Quincy, IL., Canton, MO., Keokuk, IA., and Burlington, IA.
