WBDC Colgate Contest 2009 : WBDC Colgate talent contest held annually at the Jasper Arts Center. These photos were taken from my seat at the rear of the auditorium. Since these are amatuers, I have not attached any names. I am sure that the interested viewers will know who is in the photos. Eagles of the Mississippi - 2009 : I traveled to the Mississippi River the 2nd week of January 09 to photograph the eagles that had gathered at the locks and dams. I was joined by fellow photographer Doug Cave on this trip, and he got an equal number of excellent photos. These photos are presented in chronological order (except for the very 1st photo), so I will add location information when time permits. We visited lock and dams at Quincy, IL., Canton, MO., Keokuk, IA., and Burlington, IA.

Welcome to my photo albumn. I am Sam Voelkel of Jasper, Indiana. Photography is my hobby. My cameras currently include a Canon 40D and a Canon 1D Mark III. I also have a small "hobby" studio where I practice portraits and other types of indoor photography.

I use the Smugmug hosting site because it is incredibly easy to use with no advertising or popups.
